Ladies, join us for our spring Bible study!
The Gospel of Mark challenges the expected ideal of the Messiah—not a conquering king or a wish-granting genie, but rather a man of sorrows and a suffering servant.
This short yet impactful account of Jesus’ life reveals the character of the One who came to save us. Jesus mourned the brokenness around Him: the sickness, the pain, the hardness of heart. He was the One who came not to be served, but to serve. He came to prove the faithfulness of God and provide unshakeable hope as we walk through hardships.
Jesus was not what they were expecting; He was better.
We are completing the second 8 week term of the book of Mark. You do not need to have participated in the first term to be a part of this second term. Each week focuses on a single chapter (starting on chapter 8 and combining chapter 15 & 16 on the final week). We’ll gather weekly to reflect on what we’ve read, encourage one another, and grow in our understanding of who Jesus is.
